Top 10 Countdown #5

Trey Songz-Neighbors Know My Name

Popping in at #5 is Tremaine Aldon Neverson BKA Trey Songz. Trey, one of my boo thangs released this track on February 16, 2010. It was his 5th and final single from one of the BESTEST albums “Ready”! I have chosen this song because if you really sit down and listen to the words….you will agree that it is a sexy, panty dropping cut that is a must! Trey is SEXY and have MAD SWAG to the 1920th power! AND…I want EVERYONE to pay attention to 1:52 and that face he makes….ummm, yeah!
So once again, I have a few special moments in this song. But I would have to say the very first verse would have to be my all-time fav…
"Soon as we get started makin love goin harder hear a… (knock knock) knocking on the wall, And as soon as I go deep getting it in then again there’s a.. (knock knock) knocking on the wall, Girl your legs keep shaken I swear we breakin our new headboard headboard And the love we make it feels so good girl you know I’m proud lookin in your lovely face scream my name you do it so loud."
This song goes hard in the paint and in the bedroom…ijs!

26.   Indiana Pacers
27.   Miami Heat
28.   Oklahoma City Thunder
29.   Chicago Bulls
30.   Golden State Warriors (from Spurs)
With 30 picks and 2 rounds, 60 young men will find out their fate in just a few more hours on ESPN!!!!

I am looking forward in seeing where my boo Thomas Robinson goes!!! This is an exciting night for the both of us! He is projected to get picked up at number 2 with the Charlotte Bobcats or 3 with the Washington Wizards, so I guess we will find out.
The top story has been Dion Waiters from Syracuse since the combine. During the combine Waiters cancelled everything and by everything, I mean everything due to a promise somewhere in this draft! He cancelled his workouts, his hotel room, the medical stuff, his meals, you name it; he cancelled it. The teams that are running in the air as whom he made have made this deal with are Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors, and Portland Trailblazers. I had the opportunity to watch him play last year and I think he is a great guard. In my opinion, I think he is a scorer, very strong and quick off the dribble.
There is no doubt that Anthony Davis will be picked at the number 1 spot going to the Hornets or is he?!?! Well my boo thang said in so many words that he is the number one pick in this year’s draft by comparing stats! He averaged 17.9 points, 11.8 rebounds to Davis’ 14.2 points, 10.4 rebounds.
I feel a little bad for Kentucky but I am sure they are just peachy! They got their championship and now their WHOLE team declared for the draft this year; Anthony Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marquis Teague, Terrence Jones, Doron Lamb and Senior Darius Miller….no repeat for UK and Calipari.
So I think I may agree with a lot of Buckeye fans and maybe college basketball fans in general that Jared Sullinger should have stayed just one more year. Maybe that is selfish because we had such a great team in my opinion and could possibly do great things this year. But I am ok with the selfish route.  I think he could have stayed to improve his game a little more, but who am I! Now, he is dealing with the issue of not being invited to the draft, rumors about his back, and possibly falling down the draft board. Now it’s too late and he has to really prove himself now. I haven’t really heard too much concerning his workouts but I really hope he gets picked up which I am sure a team will grab him!
Now I kept a close eye on the combine…weird, yeah I know, but I watched it. I also have been keeping track of all the draft talk and I would have to agree there is some talent this year! I am sure most of these players will not hit the wood as all-stars as they would like or believe they will be and I am sure some will be a bust…there is always a few, but I do wish them all well tonight especially my boo #TeamRobinson

Get Fit with Me!

Warming Up and Cooling Down
Warming up and cooling down are essential to a balanced and safe exercise program. With a proper warm-up and cool-down you can:
·         Make your workouts safe and easier to complete,
·         Reduce the risk of unnecessary stress on your heart and body,
·         Get you ready for your activity,
·         Improve your stamina and endurance,
·         Decrease your risk for injury,
·         Increase enjoyment of your workouts, and
·         Help you stick with your health and fitness program.

Warm-up: To prevent injury and maximize your performance, I would recommend that you begin each workout with a warm-up. The warm-up will prepare your muscles for the upcoming exertion. You will need to start by doing 5-10 minutes of gentle exercise that gradually increases your heart rate and loosens up your muscles.
Note: this should be followed by 5-10 minutes of stretching.
Cool-down: A cool-down reverses what your warm-up accomplished. It’s just as important to ease out of your workout as it is to ease into it. The cool-down returns your body to a pre-exercise level. A proper cool-down should last about 5-10 minutes and consists of moderate to mild exercise.
Note: this to should be followed by 5-10 minutes of stretching.

Make it happen!!!!!

Assume the Position!

Scissors

The Scissors position is different from the Intersxextion position (stay tuned) some of us may be used to or familiar with because all four legs are inter-crossed or scissored. This allows for a unique angle for penetration, but it comes at the partial expense of comfort. You may not like the position because it can be a little awkward to position your legs without causing one leg of the partners’ legs irritation or pain, but once you get used to it, you will be able to find the sweet spot.

You have to have some practice and patience in order to accomplish this position.

Know What You Believe

Elijah came near to all the people and said, How long will you halt and limp between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him! But if Baal, then follow him. And the people did not answer him in word.                                                                      -1KINGS 18:21

Top 10 Countdown: #7

We have made it to #7!!! My girl Lil’ Mo dropped her second album “Meet the Girl Next Door” in 2003. “1st Time” is track number 9. I think this is a sleeper for most and I am sure a lot of people have never even heard this song. So with that being said, I don’t think I have a favorite verse because the WHOLE song is my favorite. So I decided to give whole all the words…

The way you kiss me babe makes my body come alive
The way you hold me babe hold me close when you’re deep in side
The way you lick my face and you show your kinky side
The way you grab my waist send chills up and down my spine
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
Then you explore, explore my body babe, don’t rush with every touch
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
You take over my body babe, Hold my body babe like the first time
The first time
The way you pull my hair lets me know you’re in control
The way you say my name makes me fall deeper in love
And the way you taste my love shows you’re not afraid to please me
So baby this love is you’re whenever you want me whenever you need me

Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
Then you explore my body babe, don’t rush with every touch
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
You take over my body babe, Hold my body babe like the first time
The first time
Oh boy, you showed your way
That you aint afraid to take your time to let me ride
And you never rushed when were making love
And you aint no one minute man you always made sure that I get mine
That’s why I’ve always shared my body with you
Cause it feels like the first time
Cause you know how to make it feel like
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
Then you explore my body babe, don’t rush with every touch
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
You take over my body babe, Hold my body babe like the first time
The first time
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
Then you explore my body babe, don’t rush with every touch
Cause you make it feel like the first time, every time we make love
You take over my body babe, Hold my body babe like the first time
The first time
Kiss me
Hold me
Touch me
Pull my hair
Say my name
Taste me, everytime we make love
Come and control me take over my body baby

Kiss me
Tease me
Touch me
Hold me
Pull my hair
Touch me there

Its a Hard Road...

Ok, so all I can do right now is SMHH! There is a positive side to me SMHH because I have been getting my water in and continuing to be active every day. I have had stroll and step practice but been getting my jogging in on the days I don’t have practice. BUT, and this is a serious BUT, I cannot seem to stay away from all the sweets that have been invading my body.
I have not tracked anything on weight watchers like I said I was going to. And you would think I would be on it since I am paying for it. As I said last week, I am starting my day off great following my WW plan and then I’m sitting at work finding myself wanting to snack on something sweet.
The plus side as always is that I have not gained anything…just not losing like I want to.
ONCE again…I need to seriously GET MY LIFE ASAPually or this is going to get SUPER DUPER UBER ugly!

Fitness tip of the Day: Fuel

Fuel up your workout

Don’t work out on an empty stomach. Eating a light snack, preferably with carbs and protein, an hour or two before exercising can help endurance your intensity.

Assume the Position!

Bodyguard

The Bodyguard is a spooning position with all the intensity and energy of 'Doggy Style', the body connection of a side-by-side position, and the eroticism that comes with the uniqueness of all of the standing positions. To get in this position, the receiver simply stands in front and is penetrated from behind. This position is especially good in allowing the giver access to touch and caress the receiver’s body, so make sure to keep those hands occupied!

The only difficult part of this sex position is aligning the genitals which can be quite a problem for some couples. The easiest fixes are: standing on a stair, foot stool, couch cushion or, if you are up to it, maybe some heels *wink.* Or…just try lifting your leg until fully penetrated with comfort.

This position does require a lot of legs strength! This is a great position to try, let’s say in the kitchen, bathroom, stairs, closet, shower, the pool…wherever your little hearts desire! The giver has the option to lean back up against something for balance as well as the receiver having the otion to lean forward or hold onto something during the activity at hand.

I'm sure all will LOVE it!!!!

Top 10 Coundown: #8

Xscape-Work Me Slow

So we are at #8….SUPER DUPER UBER classic! Xscape hit the scene in the 1990s and put out some hits. Work Me Slow is track number 10 on Off The Hook album. I love this album! In my opinion, this was an album that you can listen to without skipping a track. But I had to pick one for my top 10 and this was it.
I have a couple FAVORITE parts in this song! I would have to say the Bridge sung by LaTocha was the best, “Then in the morning, we'll do it all over again, I don't want this feeling to never end. I can't believe how you’re loving me, you give me all, I can't believe your still stroking me, cause baby your taking it all.”
Then I would have to say verse two by Kandi, “Now change your position, and keep it right there. Just go with my motions, rub your hands through my hair. I hope you don't mind it, if I let out a scream, cause it's feeling too good to me, it's more than I dreamed. It's more than pleasure, its ecstasy, up and down, round and round, baby just come with me, take your time.
Ok, so the whole song is my FAVORITE part! I miss them…
Work it, work it!

"My Daily Message" CD

A GREAT dose of motivation…EVERYONE should partake!

Those who know me could probably say a lot of things to describe my life and my personality…outgoing, fashionable, outspoken, bougie, etc. Some would say that I am cocky/conceited but I would say I’m just confident. *Shandashrug*
So why even bring that up?!?!? Well over a year ago, last February I lost someone very special to me which really made me do a lot of thinking and putting life into perspective. Due to this situation, I changed a lot of things about and around me. My mindset begin to change and I think due to his death I became a little more focused on my purpose in life and what I wanted to accomplish on this earth.
My life has been very busy in the past 3 years and there are times where even I go through my moments of not wanting to do anything, or not believing I’ve done enough, or wanting to be alone. With that being said maybe about 8 months ago I decided to create a “My Daily Message” CD with 4 songs that I listen to when I wake up to start my day. I decided to pick 4 categories that I think everyone should invest in. With the 4 categories you have the option to change/play around with the songs you choose whenever. My songs are constantly changing with my mood. You can create/call the 4 categories whatever to suit you...its your messgae. But I would highly suggest having these 4!!!

Current “My Daily Message” CD
Inspirational Message: Hold Me Now by Kirk Franklin
-I am very spiritual and think that you should wake up every morning thanking God for providing you with another opportunity to see another day. This song/message should be number one on your CD.
Motivational Message: Still Standing by Monica
-Sometimes when things aren’t going your way and you may be feeling as though you want to give up, you need a song that has a message in it that can pull you through. So right now, this song is my motivational message. I can definitely relate to the message in the song and the words.
Self-Confidence Message: Pretty Girl Rock by Keri Hilson
-This is my current ring tone and I think has been for maybe the past 8 months. But, I love the message in this song and when it is on I believe every word when it comes to me…ijs! I believe everyone should have that one song that is a straight confidence booster; a song that makes you feel like you are the best thing God created on earth. There is nothing wrong with feeling that way.
Let’s Get it Message: 6 Foot 7Foot by Lil Wayne
-So this message is just something that will get you hyped/amped/focused to walk out the door and start your day. This is my message right now because I love this beat, but this song for me changes more than the others.

I would suggest playing this while you are getting ready for work to start your day off right!

Sports Talk: NBA Playoffs

And then there were 4! We have reached the conference finals with the Boston Celtics v. Miami Heat in the East and The San Antonio Spurs v. Oklahoma City Thunder in the West. As of Thursday May 31, 2012 The Miami Heat and Spurs were sitting pretty at 2-0. Well as of today, both series are even at 2-2. I’ve watched all 8 games and I must say each has been very good. Each team has protected home court with no one walking away with a road win.
San Antonio Spurs/Oklahoma City Thunder
Now I do remember stating the spurs were a complete all around team and would definitely give the Thunder a run for their money! Game 1was a nice battle between the two.
In a straight battle and down at the closing of the 3rd, some could have said the Spurs could lose game 1 at home. Coach Pop’s 4th quarter speech concerning him wanting some “nasty” must have really set in because he wanted “nasty” and “nasty” is what his team gave him. Fought back like experienced champs do! Manu Ginobili did the GO OFF and lead his team to a 4th quarter come back to take the series 1-0.
Game 2 the Spurs started the game on a roll. I don’t even think they looked back…not once.  Shooting at 63% through 2 games against the Thunder is just crazy! 20 straight wins…The Spurs are about business right now! The Spurs just seemed as if they were able to get WHATEVER they wanted in both game and it really showed in game 2. Drive and kick, drive and kick…ALL DAY! So what about that foul tactic OKC played the last 5mins of the 3rd quarter…HAAAA. But I will admit it did slow down the pace of the game which seemed to be the Spurs pace!
I believed OKC definitely would play much better at home and that they did in games 3 and 4. They looked like a completely different team and so did the Spurs. It was OKC that were able to dominate the floor in both game. Everything was coming natural to the team. Being at home really gave OKC extra motivation and their big guys really stepped up big time. Really…Serge Ibaka scores 26 points (career high) going 11-11 from the floor. He filled in during KD’s minor shooting slump. OKC had all the energy and momentum in both games.
Game 5 heads back to San Antonio tonight and I must say, I don’t think the Spurs are looking to lose 3 games in a row.
Miami Heat/Boston Celtics
The Heat started game 1 on fire! They looked determined and focused, team basketball at its best. By all means Boston is a great team and definitely has great players so this series is going to be a battle as proven as of last night.
KG has been unstoppable with his jumper which really has been key to Boston’s success in my opinion.
AND WTFrench did Rajon Rondo eat Tuesday night; Wednesday morning! He was the BEST player on the court Wednesday night. With the way he played, there is no way Boston should have lost game 2!!!!! Maybe it was the return of the headband. I was thinking to myself, “I feel some type of way about Rondo not wearing his headband!” He was amazing…did he even miss a shot?!?!?!  44 PTS, 10AST, 8 REB…..with NOOOO rest!
I think games 3 and 4 should have been over at the end of regulation with the way Miami fought back to take the lead and/or tie, but it wasn’t Ray Allen hit a HUGE 3 to tie it up in game 3 which he needed to get his confidence back up from his game 1 performance. Boston looked so much focused and truly dominated the floor. Most of the game Miami looked confused in game 3 and shoot, even in game 4. Games 3 and 4 Miami tried to come back but couldn’t pull out the win. Game 4….UGH! That’s all I can say!
Both coaches have and will make adjustments throughout this series…so now with the series heading back to South Beach, it is now time for Coach Spoelstra to make his adjustments to came away with the win and the series lead.
Gotta love the playoffs!

It’s a Hard Road…

Ok, so last week I told everyone that I had a mission to get my life so I could get rid of these few extra pounds that DO NOT want to leave my life and tone up my body. So the plan was to get back on weight watchers and increase my water intake. Well….I have been sticking to one of those 2 tasks. Yes I have been #TeamRachet all day. Every day I would follow the WW plan for breakfast and maybe lunch, but once those meals were over…it would be all downhill from there.
I think it started from the night (that Sunday) I went to La Fogata Grill with a couple members from my crew. $20 pitcher Margaritas and burritos was definitely not in my WW’s plan. All it takes is one day or one piece of chocolate cake that I clearly had the other day to mess EVERYTHING up! So, that night just took away from the WHOLE week. And…yes I guess I could have gotten it together on Monday which I planned on doing, but it didn’t go down like that. I couldn’t even tell you what I ate or how I ate up until now. All know is that I have had, brownies, cake, pizza, fries, and ice cream this past week. SoNotTheBusiness.edu
So I have a graduation party to attend tonight which I am sure will be filled with items that should not touch my lips until I have accomplished my goal. Which means me making it happen today is out of the question. So as of now, I am going to GET MY LIFE AGAIN and rekindle this relationship with WW tomorrow. So if I do, that means I will only have 2 weeks to drop these last 10 pounds…WTFrench.  5 pounds a week, I’m going to die.

Top 10 Countdown: #9

Usher-Can U Handle It

#9...one of my Boo thangs since "Call Me a Mack” in 1993!

I love this song! But of course I do because it’s on my top 10. It is very sexy and the beat has a slow grind type feel to it. Plus it is on by far one of the best albums put out by Usher (Confessions). #LoveIt
The BEST verse in this song is the chorus of course!!!! “Can you handle it, can I go there baby with you we gon' set it off, we gon' tear it up, Baby can u handle, I can handle it, I can go there baby with you oh I hear you talkin' babe, we gon' set it out, we gon' work it out, Baby can you handle…”
Usher has a soulful sexuality about him that makes this song even sexier. And yes, the female vocalist is Paula Patton, wife of R&B hottie Robin Thicke! Mr. Robin Thicke produced this song for Usher. #Confirmed
