What’s the Word!?!?!?

BANAL:  predictable, clichéd, boring

Although I enjoyed this year’s show, a few of the performances were a bit BANAL.

What’s the Word!?!?!?

So I am finally preparing myself for the GRE and decided to take everyone in my WORLD through this tedious journey! …beginning with vocabulary…YAY!

ABATE:  to reduce in amount, degree, or severity
As I continue to have limited space in my bedroom and closet, I need to find a way to ABATE the time I spend shopping.

Song of the Weekend

Those that know me know I am not a HUGE Ri Ri fan...but this song right here is a banger! I sooo give her an A++ for this song...I'll drink to that!

Sports Talk: 2012 NFL Draft:

So looking at the first 3 picks from last night, just as excepted all week…dreams came true! 1-Andrew Luck-more mobile than Payton Manning, I think he has a nice arm and can see the field very well. I watched him play at Stanford last year and think he will do very well in Indy once they provide him with some help! 2-Robert Griffin III (RG3)- I definitely agree with Mel Kiper Jr. that RG3 will be to Washington what Cam Newton is to Carolina…just not as athletic as Cam! 4.3 speed, mobility, athletic, and vision is a must! I think the Redskins made a great decision on the pick but also taking a chance on what they gave up for him! 3-Trent Richardson-agile and strong! He is a north-south runner and can make people miss when he has the ball. Good pick for the Browns

Now Michael Floyd going to Arizona with Larry Fitzgerald, I think it will be EPIC!!! I watched him at Notre Dame and he reminds me of Nick Toon from Wisconsin...a big, fast, vertical WR with great hands. Kevin Kolb(?) will have a field day every game...or should!

And of course my boo Dre Kirkpatrick heading here to Ohio, Cincinnati to be exact...LOVE IT! Not saying that he will get there and turn out, but I definitely think he will contribute to the Bengals Defense! I mean he is an Alabama product! He is physical but may not be as fast as he will need to be to match up with some of the current WRs on the field.
....he will definitely have the chance to prove himself!

So with the 15th pick of the 2012 NFL draft...the Seattle Seahawks select...wait for it...Bruce Irvin, Defensive End, West Virginia....WHAT, WHO, WHERE, WHY, WHEN!!!!! Now by no means am I a Seahawks fan, but REALLY! I understand people deserve a second chance at life and his past has nothing to do with his future, but…..*Blank Stare.* So this dude was projected as a third round pick and moved up to the first round….out of nowhere! But hey, he might turn out to be the best pick ever…good luck to them!

SteelersNation stand up!!!! With the 24th pick of the 2012 NFL Draft…the Pittsburgh Steelers select David DeCastro, Offensive Guard, Stanford. Not that knowledgeable on Offensive Guards but I did take a look at film on this dude and he just might work out.  I can’t wait to see what he will bring to the offensive line this year!

Overall, I think the first day/first round of the 2012 draft was decent. I am happy with most of the picks that occurred. Getting ready to see what day 2 brings!

Inspirational Message

Know Your Strengths

That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God [the inner fire] that is in you.                             -2 TIMOTHY 1:6
Prayer:
“Lord, thank You for the abilities You have given me. I recognize them, and I ask You to show me the best way I can use them. Amen.                                                                     -Joyce Meyer

Oh HELL Naw!

Ok, ok, ok…people are not really feeling this song…
My first reaction to this song was like WTFrench is Brian McKnight thinking/doing…GET YOUR LIFE! I felt a little violated and confused to say the least. This is so NOT the “Let it Snow,” “Back at One” Brian McKnight I know. I guess it wouldn’t be so bad if say umm Trey Songz, Usher, Chris Breezy, or shoot Tyrese was singing it.  But, I actually like the song…but of course I would! I think it’s catchy, I like the beat and I am SOO sure people will listen to it when it comes out…if it comes out.
One thing is for sure, Brian can still sing!!! BOW

Fitness Tip of the Day

Instead of riding the elevator at work…try taking the stairs! By doing so, you will have the opportunity to engage in some type of physical activity on the clock.
