This is one of my FAVORITE desserts! I am a HUGE apple crisp/ice cream person so this item is Heaven to me! A serious must make!!!!!!!
Fruit Crisp
Prep: 30 minutes
Bake: 30 to 35 minutes
5 cups sliced frozen peaches, apples, berries and/or
fruit of your chose
2-4 Tbsp. granulated sugar½ cup regular rolled oats
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp. ground nutmeg
¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
¼ tsp. vanilla extract
¼ cup butter or margarine
¼ cup shredded coconut (optional)
Let frozen fruit thaw in a two quart baking dish (do
not drain). Stir in sugar. Preheat oven to 375 F. In bowl, mix oats, brown
sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla extract. Cut butter into small
pieces and add to dry mixture. Combine until mixture becomes coarse. Sprinkle
on top of fruit. Bake in oven until golden brown and tender, 30 to 35 minutes.
Serving suggestion: Serve warm with vanilla or your
favorite ice cream. Makes 6 servings
