Its a Givaway!!!

Breast cancer is a disease that affects everyone not just women.  All year long we dedicate our time and resources to the fight but in May we all come together and show our support for women and families in the fight against breast cancer.  Breast cancer is a type of cancer where cells in the breast tissue divide and grow without normal control.  Except for skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S.  It knows no boundaries-be it age, gender, socioeconomic status or geographical location.

Susan G. Komen, at the age of 33 was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Remaining upbeat, she was confident that she would come out of the situation cancer free.  Not really knowledgeable about breast cancer, she continued to see her regular doctor for treatments.  Throughout the course of her treatment, she had the lump in her breast removed but unfortunately the cancer had spread with a lump under her arm.  All throughout her battle, Susan was a tireless champion of making sure other women did not have to endure the struggles she had encountered.  After a long three year battle, Susan had succumbed to the disease.  Her sister, Nancy vowed to continue the fight in honor of Susan.

Here are some quick facts regarding breast cancer:
*Breast cancer accounts for one out of three cancer diagnoses in women in the U.S.
*Although Caucasian women get breast cancer more, African American women die from it more
               *There are approximately 2,500,000 survivors
In 2012, it is estimated that among U.S. women
*There will be 226,870 new cases of invasive breast cancer
*There will be 39,510 breast cancer deaths

With the information given, I am a champion in the fight against breast cancer and I am going to do my part!  What part will you play?  I am conducting a giveaway with a piece of custom made jewelry from my line “Flawless Creations.”  This giveaway will be conducted until the Race for the Cure on May 18, 2012 with the actual race being May 19th. 5. I believe that in order for anyone to help with this fight, we must all be KNOWLEDABLE! Know the facts. Once you are fully able to understand the disease, it will aid you in better educating others. Participating in the walks is also a good way to fight, however, it is extremely important to help raise money for the cure.
