Dear Parents: Tip #5


Healthy Eating Strategy #5:

Limit juice to no more than 4 ounces a day.

Juice has a lot of sugar. And drinking too much juice could possibly fill children up and make them less hungry at mealtimes. As a parent I am not a huge fan of given my kids juice unless we are out at a function that provides it. But at home they live off of milk and water. If I allow them to drink juice at home, I would always add water especially between the ages of 10 month-3 years old. You could also offer fresh fruit instead of juice.
